Letting go of people, places and things that I deemed were in my destiny has been one the highest hurdles to climb.

One of my spiritual advisors along the way challenged me, as she frequently does, is your God big enough to give you what you need?  Quite frankly, I wasn’t getting what I wanted and I was not happy about it. My somber answer to her question was no.

I stayed right there in this “my God is too small” space for years.  I have struggled with acceptance of my current reality. No, God, wrong again. As I explain to my Creator how His will was undesirable.

Turns out I don’t get a vote in God’s will.  It’s for me to lay down my self will and pray for my will to align with His.  This my friends is THE WORK.  Everyday, all day to surrender to what is and to love the people, places and things that God puts before me.  In the big blue AA book it says, Acceptance is the answer to all of my problems. Yuck and thank you Jesus, more please.  All at the same time.

Today my GOD is lovingly referred to as “BIG G.” I am reminded just how mighty His love is for you and for me.  I read yesterday that God’s love is the only perfect love we experience.  Us humans, not perfect, can love and can give love as we know and love ourselves.  

Thank you BIG G for keeping it real and for continuing to shed the people, places and things that don’t align with my destiny and for allowing those that do. Open my eyes to Your desire for my life and align me to purpose and to Your perfect will.
